There are no words to describe the amazingness that is Sheezer, but it looks as if I'm going to have to try.

Made up of lovely ladies from various Canadian indie bands like The Hidden Cameras and The Bicycles, Sheezer is more than just a fun side project, it's become a Toronto obsession that everyone is talking about. Be it disgruntled old Weezer fans yearning for the good old days or people who just love a good sing-along, it seems everyone loves them.

And what's not to love? It's no secret that Weezer hasn't made a decent album since Pinkerton, so why not celebrate the awesomeness of their first two albums?

Everyone at the Garrison on Friday had a gigantic smile on their face in anticipation of what the night would offer as all ‘90s alternative music was playing and the cheap beer was flowing. By the time Sheezer finally took the stage after 11, they were greeted with ultra glossy, nostalgic eyes and uproarious spilly cheers.

"My Name is Jonas" kicked off the set and kicked everyone's ass as Laura Barrett, Dana Snell, Alysha Haugen, Magali Meagher and Robin Hatch embodied the excitement of Weezer's heyday.

With everyone singing every song at the top of their lungs, it was a little hard to hear the ladies singing, but that's OK. Everyone was there for one reason, and that was to hear their favourite Weezer songs and sing-along with these talented women. This is the appeal of Sheezer and they seem to embrace it.

Other sing-along standouts included "Buddy Holly", "Say it Ain't So", "The Good Life" and, of course, "El Scorcho". To say the crowd was left satisfied is a dramatic understatement—though, personally, I know I could have gone for at least another hour sweating to death and singing my soul out.

Needless to say, Sheezer's show was worth getting a hoarse voice over.
