The first single off St. Vincent's amazing Actor hits listeners with great intensity the second she opens her mouth. A sudden rush comes over you as Annie Clark's beautifully classical voice hits that first note and it grips you until the song throws you to side with its abrupt end. It's a song that merits repeat listens and repeat analysis. I'm still not sure if she is going to stay with this guy.
But let me just say I really hope this song isn't autobiographical because trust me, Annie, this guy is no good for you. Walk away now! There are surely thousands of guys willing to wait in line for you. You are, after all, one of the most beautiful women in the world.
